Hooton Engineering awarded
ISO 1090 for structural steel

Hooton Engineering were delighted to be the first Company ever given the award with zero recomendations for improvement by ISOQAR. That’s what our customers have driven us to achieve.

When we started the journey towards this accreditation back in July 2014 we were told to expect that there would be changes needed to reach the levels required, as that was normal for all applicants. We were very pleased to hear that we had been awarded this standard, and that we were already working to the required levels.  It proves that our staff training is paying off as standards are very high, and that's what our customers have come to expect.

Hooton Engineering is a privately owned UK & international engineering company, offering bespoke engineering solutions. Managing Director, Richard Marshall said " We wanted to open up for the day to give visitors an insight into what we do here at Hooton. We've recently grown the business by investing in new machinery and expanding our offices and workshops and therefore it was a great opportunity to showcase the business. The business has been running for 55 years but on the day, many still remarked 'I didn't know you did that.' so we were delighted that so many people came to visit us and went away with more knowledge about what we can do. "

Kerry Piper, Purchasing Manager, said "For the business to be able to show guests around the working workshop takes away the mysteries. Many customers and suppliers looked around and had good fun seeing the variety of work we are capable of and this is of course a huge benefit to Hooton."

Mel Wain,  Engineering Manager at EcoPlastics Recycling, one of Europe's largest and most sophisticated recycling plants, said "it is comfort to know that a great local business like Hooton Engineering  is available for the times when we need emergency support to get the plant running.
